A friend that I’ve known since elementary school is up at OHSU. She is in end stage liver failure & is eligible for a transplant. However, on Dec. 30th, at a rest area outside of Albany, Rachel fell. She broke her wrist, shoulder & a vertebrae. She underwent surgery & did very well. What normally takes 6+hrs, only took 2-1/2. Now we can only pray that she heals faster than her liver completely fails… It’s definitely a race of the clock. Her parents are deceased & recently her only brother passed away from… complications from a fall. Rachel is married. Her husband, Pat, isn’t in very good health either.
