PRAISE THE LORD!!! He was able to eat REAL food today! (8/10/14) He got the mac-n-cheese he has been asking for and over a period of time ate all of it! He also had a pancake & applesauce! He is still experiencing some pain in his tummy, but the dr’s say that is to be expected since his colon is still not completely healed and he has not had food for over 2 weeks. My in-laws were down to visit him today & they said he is smiling & happy…something else he has not done in 2 weeks. For now he does still have the liquid diet through his IV, but the dr’s expect him to be able to come home within the next few days. Although it will be with some big restrictions and the understanding that even though he does not need nurses care & IV he will still be a sick little boy who need time to recover. When asked if he wants to go home he says no, but his mommy sure is ready!!! Thanks again for your prayers. Please pray specifically that his stool returns to normal, his iv stays in place (it has been moved so many times they are running out of places to put it), and that his colon will tolerate all of this food. – Beth Bjerklund

I had a call tonight (8/11/14) from my best friend she asked to keep her sister, niece and her great niece in prayer for her great great niece that was 3 years old was killed a few hours ago in a car accident I have known this family for over 47 years they are missionary’s in the Philippines I can’t even imagine What they are feeling losing this child Kay, Beckie and Hannah Please hold them up in prayer Thank you Trigger

Please pray for our Daughter Jolynn. She was taken by ambulance to Riverbend Hospital, cause she was found on the bathroom floor unconscious. The tests show Opiates in her blood stream. Shes had a history of taking too much prescription drugs. She’s in denial & is in a unit that you have to be taken in & out by a nurse. We are praying for God to reach her & help her to admit she has an addiction to prescription drugs. She needs to be put in a Drug inpatient clinic. Thank you Sherry & Mike Griffith

Update on Josiah Pimentel:
CAT scan showed Colitis & inflamed gallbladder. Treating him with antibiotics and pain meds today. Tomorrow he will have his pic line put in.(under sedation, of course) so that he can begin to get some nutrition in his system again. They don’t want him to eat any food as the colon is soooooo inflamed. He did rest well today thanks to the pain meds. Tonight his fever did go up again, but they feel that is due to the colitis. Last night around 2:30 am his fever spiked and they had to take blood immediately to see if there was infection. His veins are so beat up they had to draw from his foot…this was not well received by the little man already in enough pain. Pray he can avoid that tonight!. Three most major prayer requests (goals before he can go home). There must be a cessation of pain without meds, he must have a close to normal stool and he must be able to eat. The dr’s aren’t too optimistic that these goals will be met until sometime next week, but we know we serve an incredible God. So, please, pray with me that he will show dramatic improvement and even be able to return home by Sunday!

This is for my nephew Josiah and my sister Teresia’s family. Josiah got salmonella poisoning while in SC visiting my other sister Sally’s family. They did a cat scan on Josiah. He has colitis and an enlarged gallbladder along with the salmonella. He is on antibiotics. He only has an IV in right now. No pic line. Please keep them all in your prayers. – Beth Bjerklund

My Dad has a spot of cancer on his prostate. The Doctors want to watch it for awhile. Please pray they watch it go away and that it’s so clear it was God that it’s a true testimony to all involved. – Mel Hite
