ECS (Eugene Christian School) Families,

On Saturday evening, one of our 7th grade students, Noah Baker, was hit by a car while riding on his bicycle. As a result of the incident, Noah suffered a serious skull fracture and was later transported to OHSU.

Fortunately, Noah’s mother, Shana, shared that Noah is breathing and talking well, and will hopefully not need surgery. Praise God! Noah was also excited today that he has been cleared to eat and drink. On behalf of the school board and staff, I ask for you to pray for healing for Noah, his parents and family members.

While you can find additional details of the event on KEZI and other news sites, the male driver was arrested for DUII, assault and other charges. Please pray for his restoration as well.

We are devastated at this news and we’re thanking God for Noah’s recovery. Parents, particularly those of the middle school, you may share this news with your student at your discretion. We will have a middle school meeting in the morning to brief the students and to pray for Noah. Counseling services will also be provided for students, staff and families throughout the day. As always, our ECS prayer room is available for parents to gather and pray.

Thank you for your prayers and support of the Baker family.

All of God’s grace,

Jared Mlynczyk (Submitted by Pastor Aaron)
