Shawna Morley Update: Praise the Lord!

Nurse/Doctor report – for Shawna Morley – January 2nd @ NOON:
Great news!!!!! I went in to the hospital this morning and her nurse is someone I have worked with before and she was so excited to tell me that since 8am she had responded twice when they asked for a thumbs up she did a deliberate thumbs up. Then the asked for a peace sign and she did a peace sign! Yeah! I went in and met with Dr. Kokkino and he said that no one can tell but her prospects of recovery are very good. He said “her brain looks like it can heal but it will take time. It will be a long haul and she will need a positive supportive community! She has that with her family, in laws, friends and church family! I went in and talked to see her and when I spoke to her she opened her eyes (but her eyes were fixed and not following or looking around) each time I spoke with her, she would open her eyes wide. Then I asked her to squeeze my hand. She totally squeezed my hand. Then for a few seconds she looked around then her eyes went back to a fixed position. On a cd Kevin was singing “He touched me” and I touched the top of her head. I began praying and she moved her arm and began blinking her eyes! Her temp is still high and they are dealing with it by giving her Tylenol right now! The labs on infection are not back yet but she is doing well and improving! Praise the Lord!
More Great News: Everett went back out to the truck (which is very badly damaged) and he and Tom looked around again. The found her camera!!! Elisha was able to salvage almost 1000 pics from the last couple months. Some of hunting, family, many of baby miracle and some of Christmas! By the end of the day we will have a web link so all the family will have access to the pictures. Our media guy is coming in to put a web site together for the family to access the pictures for download. As soon as it’s ready I will forward you the link for the pictures. On another note: please begin to gather pictures and testimonies for the memorial for Kevin. We do not and will not have a date until Shawna is better and able to be there. That is the plan at this point.

Please pray for this anonymous request

I received this request for prayer. Please pray for this anonymous request: Pastor Aaron, _____________ back about 87-96. She went to Sheldon but didn’t graduate. She also went to your Camps I am her adoptive mother,——–. Her dad, died in ’96. In about ’06, she and I and her son moved to TX.
We are not doing well. I am 73 now. She is middle aged. Her son is 20. I will not go in to all detail but she needs some kind of help beyond what I ever understood. We tried everything we knew to get her help. We moved here after an X-boyfriend of hers tried to murder her and I adopted her son. Drugs were a part of her picture then and now but most of what she takes now is doctor prescribed. Last year, she and her son and two friends plotted to kill me. One of the friends tattled on her and she was confronted and stopped. She says she was just “venting” her angers. I have tried to help her but I am now unable. I have 15 herniated discs and other complications in my spine. I am barely walking. When she picked up my pain meds for me, for the second time, I noticed they seemed short. This time I counted them. There were 25 Norco missing. Either she stole them for herself or I have wondered, since she brings me my food, if she would spike my food and make my death look like a suicide. She is not in my will and she knows that but there are other things like my truck and things to sell. I really am trying to believe she would not do that. She has involved a new person in her life and she vents to him. His name is Walter. He is her age and he is a controller as she is.
We will soon be homeless as my monies are gone and I only make appox. $1250 on SS. It won’t support all 3 of us. She doesn’t work. Her/my boy does. They need my truck. She is afraid I will leave and take the truck. I know she is plotting but I am unsure exactly what.
I am in the Lord. I am unafraid to die. I am terrified for her son. She can ruin his life as she has ruined her own.
I have known the Lord 45 years. I can feel demonic forces in the atmosphere trying to destroy all of us. The Lord has come to our rescue many times and he has saved her life many times.
I have ( in 1971) seen the Lord several times as well as His holy angels and some demons.
I am praying but I am so hindered by my spinal problems that I can no longer pray alone. I hope I am fearful about nothing and I am imagining but the past leaves me questioning.
Please pray for us. I am desperate. I will lose my home within a few months and all my furnishings and be homeless unless the Lord will help me find help. I am so brokenhearted that I feel overcome.
Please pray. I am aware of your already heavy load but I need help and don’t know where to turn. You knew ———- long ago but you may not remember. She liked your ministry. I don’t really know if she is born again. She says she believes in Jesus. Her countenance is not an assurance.
A sister-in-Christ.
Share if you feel led, not our names though, please.

I am needing prayers for myself today and my family

I am needing prayers for myself today and my family. We are going through a difficult time in this new year. Please pray for me to get through this time and pray that God will answer my prayers of peace and comfort in my heart for my daughter Lindsey. I need God to guide me and comfort me and to have me take one day at a time and work with God to show me the way. I am persistent in prayer and know that God is always there for me I do trust and have faith in the Lord our God but sometimes I just need his assurance that he is there for me and Lindsey to keep her safe and to relieve the stress in her life. God please hear my prayer. Gob Bless – Deb

Update on Shawna Morley

Update on Shawna Morley who was in an automobile accident Christmas Day and lost her husband, Kevin:
Nurse/Doctor report – for Shawna Morley – New Year Day Friday Afternoon: Shawna is opening her eyes a lot but not tracking this means she is not following any specific light or looking at anything specific. Her white blood cell count is up. This means there is an infection someplace. They are running tests. Because she is struggling to breathe more today and has more secretions than normal. They are thinking it is a lung infection. We should know more by day’s end. Today’s information is not as encouraging as other days but remember there will be days like this and we need to just continue to have faith and pray for Gods best concerning her. We also need to remember the other young girl and young man in the accident. As far as I know they are recovering well but it is not easy, especially for the Young Girl, Maddison Staggs. None of this has been easy on anyone and we really need to stick together in this and support one another as we have been doing. This is a life changing event for all that we are in for a long run of recovery together. Believing for a miracle & Humbly submitted on behalf of the whole family by Aaron Taylor

Please pray for Shawna Morley and family

There was a tragic car accident yesterday involving Kevin and Shawna Morley. Kevin did not survive and Shawna is in the ICU at River Bend. Please pray that she will recover and pray for the comforting of the Holy Spirit for their family. This is a great loss for our church family and Kevin will be missed.

Update on Shawna: The cat scan has shown no significant changes which is good. They will be keeping the room quite and dark overnight and will do another cat scan in the morning. Pray that her temp stays down and for her to remain stable and calm while she heals.
