Hello my dear,
I hear your prayer so well. I pray for peace of mind and surrender to your Higher Power, whomever, or whatever that may be.
I am so happy that you are reaching out for help. This is not an easy thing to do because once we stop drinking our problems just don’t disappear, it’s important to realize this….God, and people’s prayers as well as support, teach or help you to cope in a different way. This is not something that you can do alone. If you are able to surrender to your Higher Power, and possibly go to a 12 step program, you may have a chance. It takes not wanting to
drink more than you want to. Sometimes that is difficult to
discern which is how you feel. Sometimes you absolutely know
you want to drink more.
The Serenity Prayer is often helpful.
Our precious Father in Heaven, we want to lift Gina up to the highest point of protection for her. Protect her from her desires to cope with her desire for drinking. I feel your arms around her, lifting her to the highest for her, holding her close so she feels loved and understood. Oh Lord, we know that you are the Great Physician of Healing.
Open her up to Your healing love. We know, through you, that any and all things that may torment her, bother her, hurt her and others are forgiven by you through your son, Jesus Christ. Allow her to feel that comfort of just lying on the beach in pure calm air, listening to the sound of the waves coming back and forth to comfort her. With each sound of the wave, let her know she is closer and closer to peace on this earth.
We pray these things for her greater good through you in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
In Christ’s Love,
Alice
You are beautiful in every way that God is. You are a child of His and He loves you. You are perfect in God’s eyes in every way…just allow yourself to feel that. He knows that we all sin and overdo many things, have addictions and so on. He still sees us as His perfect children because Jesus died on the cross for us, and it was not in vain.
Maybe try eating chocolate, M&Ms, or something sugar free, yet is sweet. What we miss is the sugar in what we drink. So, we can replace that with something else when we crave.
Blessings are all yours, all you need to do is accept them.
