Hi, my wife, daughter, and myself recently relocated to the Eugene area, as I obtained a job at a local nonprofit. Shortly after arriving, I allowed my addiction to seize me once again, and I ended up losing my job. I am now back in a 12-Step program and working on my recovery. The loss of my job, and the dreams I had for my family with our move to Eugene, were instantly smashed due to me allowing the devil to cloud my thinking and decisions. This ordeal has completely devastated both me and my family, and has left us seeking the comfort of Christ to pull us through. We have been staying at a hotel in Eugene, as we were looking for a more permanent home, however without current employment, the housing search has become more challenging. Luckily, I am receiving disability benefits, so we do have some income, and I have begun the slow process of searching for work. Eventually though, our income will not be sufficient to allow us to remain at the hotel, and our urgency to find a place to live is becoming more and more serious. Also, our daughter has plans to begin college in a few weeks, and we would prefer to remain in Eugene, rather than returning to the San Francisco Bay Area where we had ben living since we were a young family. Our prayer request is that I continue to work on my recovery and allow God to work in my life and do for me what I am unable to do for myself, that I am able to find employment, and that we are able to find a home, to be able to leave the hotel and afford a place to live. Please pray for Cindy Parnell. She is in the hospital. Has been since Saturday night. Cindy had very high blood pressure when she went in. Cindy has sleep apnea. The doctors have said that there is water on left lung and her diabetes is high. This is an attack of the enemy. Please pray the word over her. Please be in warfare for her. Please pray for my stepdaughter JoLynn she was taken to Riverbend hospital Monday night with a drug overdose. We found out she’s been doing Meth for 3 months. She was just released from the hospital. She has been anti-social with the family & about loose everything. My other Daughter & I took her to the the University Riverbend yesterday & tried to have put into inpatent & they released her. She has agreed to go into inpatient rehab, but there aren’t any openings. – Sherry Griffith
