Dockside condominiums are one of Charleston&#8217;s most iconic properties. At 19 stories tall, Dockside is one of the few high-rise buildings in the Holy City. Built-in the early 1980s, the units offer incredible views of the harbor, downtown Charleston, and the Ravenel Bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8639\" src=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/MDI_Wallace2020-42.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally, Dockside condos were fairly basic; after all, the harbor&#8217;s view steals the show. However, we&#8217;ve come a long way with aesthetics since the 80s. There&#8217;s no reason you can&#8217;t have an incredible view and a home with plenty of personality.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We chose a serene color palette of greys and whites with dark wood and brass accents throughout. In the entry, painting the double doors a deep grey allows the foyer to stand on its own as a separate and essential space. The floor has brass accented tiles laid in a random pattern to give the nook visual energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally the kitchens in Dockside were closed-in spaces with a small pass-through window. Removing the wall opened the area and allowed us to create a generous table for four. We kept the kitchen streamlined with flat panel cabinets and a seamless backsplash. A bottle cap portrait of Andy Warhol by local artist\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mollyrightstudio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Molly B Right<\/a>\u00a0adds a little fun to this hardworking room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8635\" src=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/MDI_Wallace2020-37.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"386\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8637\" src=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/MDI_Wallace2020-40.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8636\" src=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/MDI_Wallace2020-38.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the living room, notice the accent ledge below the television for books and objects d&#8217;art. Foxed mirrors behind the sofa reflect light, giving the room depth and a classy, vintage vibe. Rounded corners in the interior architecture are echoed the detail of the furnishings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8634\" src=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/MDI_Wallace2020-36.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8628\" src=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/MDI_Wallace2020-23-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8630\" src=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/MDI_Wallace2020-27.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the primary bedroom, the soothing color palette continues in the upholstery, seagrass wallpaper, and tall mirrors with brass accents. The attached bathroom features a patterned floor tile that looks like a botanical carpet.
