{"id":7177,"date":"2019-08-01T12:41:30","date_gmt":"2019-08-01T16:41:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/?p=7177"},"modified":"2019-08-01T12:41:30","modified_gmt":"2019-08-01T16:41:30","slug":"mdi-takes-a-cooking-class","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/box2483.temp.domains\/~urbanar5\/mdi-maradesignco-com\/mdi-takes-a-cooking-class\/","title":{"rendered":"MDI Takes a Cooking Class"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last month the MDI team, plus builder Phillip Smith and his wife, took a private cooking class with <a href=\"http:\/\/chefbobwaggoner.com\/\">Chef Bob Waggoner <\/a>courtesy of Colleen George and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.subzero-wolf.com\/\">Sub Zero\/Wolf.<\/a>\u00a0Chef Bob is known for his Lowcountry \/ French fusion cuisine using local and seasonal ingredients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more Read more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Cooking classes are held at his beautiful downtown showcase kitchen, and are known for being casual, relaxed, and a lot of fun. That evening the group\ncooked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Appetizer: Shrimp on top of asparagus with a pineapple pink peppercorn salsa on top. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dinner: Steak with cooked down onions, peppers, tomatoes,\nolives, etc.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dessert: Fresh berries with homemade vanilla ice cream with a red wine berry syrup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other things, Chef Bob taught the team knife skills, how to flip food in the pan, and to use grape seed oil instead of any other oil to cook because it can heat super high and has no flavor, and to cook shrimp with the tail on because the tail is what makes the food taste like shrimp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/margaretdonaldsoninteriors.com\/our-team\/\">team<\/a> couldn\u2019t choose a favorite food because everything was amazing, including the wine pairings.
