This year we want to encourage you to join a tour, a garden walk, or a talk and get better acquainted with Charleston\u2019s beautiful historic homes.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Fall tour of homes takes place throughout the month of October, and every weekend highlights a different street neighborhood. This year\u2019s tour choices include private homes and gardens on:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meeting Street<\/li>\n<li>The Battery<\/li>\n<li>King Street<\/li>\n<li>Church Street<\/li>\n<li>East Battery<\/li>\n<li>South Battery<\/li>\n<li>Tradd Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are self-guided tours that feature the interiors of 6 \u2013 7 private homes and gardens. These are not museums, and they aren\u2019t staged. If you haven\u2019t been, it\u2019s a delight to see these homes, take in the modern updates and historic preservation efforts, and see how people really live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Before or after your tour, be sure to stop at the Preservation Society shop on King Street for a browse. This is one of our favorite stores in Charleston. You\u2019ll find books by local authors, small-batch books on historical Charleston culture, art, and architecture, and lots of beautiful products from local makers.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the tours benefit the Preservation Society of Charleston, the oldest preservation society in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are limited, <a href=\"https:\/\/preservationsociety.org\/falltours\/tours.php?cateID=1\">so get yours today<\/a>.
