We would like to wish you and yours a happy Thanksgiving and share one of our favorite seasonal recipes. <!--more-->We hope that this sweet potato biscuit recipe that will bring as smiles to your table as it has to ours over the years. It&#8217;s easy and irresistible. Enjoy!<\/p>\n<h5>Mix the following together in a bowl:<\/h5>\n<p><strong>2 cups plain flour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4 teaspoons baking powder<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 teaspoon salt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2\/3 cup shortening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 tablespoon granulated sugar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 cup mashed sweet potato (you can use canned sweet potato!)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1-3 teaspoons of milk (add slowly to make sure the batter is just the right consistency)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Form mixture into biscuits and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
